What has TGP done for you?

For me, I:
Got the confidence to fix the tremolo on my jazzmaster myself
Found out i prefer rosewood fretborads to maple
I really like Fuzz especially Skreddy.
And im only 14
Unfortunately, it has made me lust after gear ill likely never get cough*dumble*cough

Taught me a lot about amps and other gear and introduced me to new artists. Mainly it provided me with one of the best friends I've ever had that I've been talking to by email almost every day for years. Someone that helped me get back on the path of music. That was no easy task.

I learned that some people really hate cigarettes.

Otherwise I've learned some good things in the playing and technique section.

EDIT TO ADD.......

What I dig is being able to talk about music with people that love it as much as I do. In real life the only people who really enjoy this kind of conversation are my band mates....I can talk music with family and friends but it's not on the same level.

It's great to come home from work and tune out the crap of the day, have a coffee or a beer and decompress.

Yeah, those Orange, Vox, Dr. Zee's, Marshall's, Les Paul's and such are junk. Send 'em this way - I'll take that crappy gear off your hands.

Fixed my heating and cooling problems

Yes, there are some good guyz on here - I'm getting some electrical expertise on Friday from one of our best!

Made some good cyber friends.
Yep, this part is the best! And some of those cyber friends have translated over into real life, so that's way cool. TGP is a great place. I stop total strangers on teh street and tell'em so.

It has taught me a great deal about human nature, which is one of the reasons I joined.

I have met many folks here (even married one of them!) and some have become good friends.

Interesting place to be sure.

It's taught me a lot about musicianship...how to approach music and different styles. Taught me a few licks. And cost me A LOT of money!!!

TGP has made me aware of a ton of gear that's old and new that I otherwise may have never known about.
Costing me alot of money and making me slightly obsessive sometimes.

All of thee above. Tgp is the best spot for gear guys and musicians to hang out. You get good advice, tips, some attitudes, tone bashing, insults, and some praise for my new gear and music. It's just Like going to band practice. Love it all.
