Tell me about the Way Huge Red Llama!

I'm interested in getting a clone built for me but i'm not sure what to expect!

Any experience with one or any clones?

Does it stack well ?

thanks!

I have the Mojo Hand Mule, which I'm told is a clone. It's a slightly fuzzy OD with a huge amount of volume. Being goosed by an OD it has a raging fuzz kinda sound.

I love the red llama/tube sound fuzz. I think it covers alot of ground. tons of volume on tap, goes from mild od to fuzz pedal with the gain on 9. It doesn't get all the way up there to 10 like a proper fuzz though.

The pedal does clean up well and behave in a tubelike manner. I also think it's really passive tone wise. You can still control the sound with your pickup selection/tone pots. You can still hear the difference between a strat or a les paul through it. It is also my go to dirt to put on with a wah. It actually sounds really good with bass guitar too, surprising low end content.

I think the only drawback is it seems to eat batteries really fast. Two class A gain stages from the hex inverter chip will do that though.

It sounds kinda like running 2 amps, 1 fuzzed and 1 clean.

I don't understand why Mojo Hand/Tonefactor stopped making their Mule.

Nice pedal that covers a lot of ground and has TONS of volume on tap. The GGG clone is a good kit...I did change the value of one cap to sound better to my ears.
