Guitar recommendation for 12 yr old girl

What would be a good inexpensive acoustic guitar to have a 12 year old girl start on?
Prefer one that will stay in tune and sound decent but not break the bank.

Depends on what you call inexpensive, personally I would look at a used Guild GAD series can be found in the $400 to $500 range.

I think the Taylor Mini GS would be a great guitar for a 12 year old.

An Ovation Celebrity or, if you wanna go even less expensive, an Applause. They're durable and sound good and are among the easiest to play.

you can't lose with a taylor big baby; it's almost full-size, not that expensive, sounds good and plays great.

Daisy Rock - I bought one for my daughter (only 2 right now, but you can never start preparing too soon!). Full scale, thin nut for comfort for girls, sounds pretty darn good (I pick it up for fun from time to time), and it has a pink sparkly top. Definitely recommended!

+1 on the GS Mini. I bought one a few months ago and it plays and sounds so good I just can't put it down. The size would be perfect for someone small. But this guitar is loud enough to keep up with any full size acoustic.

Gurf Morlix recommended an Art & Lutherie Ami Spruce top...a solid Spruce top parlor job built in Quebec, Canada

I went over to my local mom and pop music store...73 years in business...the old man is smoking on his Show-Bud...anyways...

I left with two Ami...one for my 15 year old daughter and one for me...

Could'nt stop playing once i got home...

Well under 3 greens with a gig bag and a Planet Waves medium pick...

I will not be denied

I have just what you want

I won a Dick Dale Malibu Signature SCE, as new, that I won at the Vintage Guitar show I could let go that would be perfect for a Jr miss to learn on. You have to check out the color to really understand. It plays real easy and it has a Fishman built in pick up system.

let's 425. plus shipping. the MSRP is 849. on the spectacular specimen.

see it here at:

Great Xmas present.

Contact me at foosballjg@gmail.com if your interested.

The Taylor GS Mini is a great small or travel guitar, but to me the Big Baby sounds better. Also easier to find used and cheaper.
