Swart Atomic Space Tone - NAD / Tubes?

Just picked up a used Swart Atomic Space Tone. (AST) Wow! What a vibey little amp! it is Very touch sensitive and has arguably the finest onboard tremolo I've heard. The Reverb is killer as well. Love the grab N go size and weight. Damn this amp is vibey. Any other Swart AST lovers out there? Chime in.

I put in a Mullard GZ34 rectifier tube that I had and a new set of Tung Sol 6V6GT's. What Tubes do other Swart lovers prefer for V1 and the other slots? The amp seems to take very well to NOS Tube rolling. Just not sure what I prefer yet. Curiously, a JJ 12ax7 in V1 sounds great. But so does a Tung Sol, New issue or old. What do you like?

D/PW is one of the best guitar I have ever played. You have a good taste...yes AST is a great amp too.

I love my AST. I got it a few months ago and its fantastic. Mine was making some weird microphonic type noises recently and I just changed out all of the tubes. I ordered the JJ tube package from Swart and the amp sounds even better. Such a vibey, organic sound. What a great break up as well!!

Agreed! My D/PW Mahogany is stunning. Gig with it every week, multiple times. Stunning instrument. My AST is now part of my rotation along with my Gibson ES-339. Killer combination. ...Gibson Classic 57 PU's with the AST ...ROCKS!

I'm sweating on the arrival of my AST (any day now, for the last couple of weeks). A dealer has and AST, STR Tweed and some Atoms in a shipment and I originally thought I wanted the STR but after further research and consideration, I'm going with the AST. I'm a home player and I just think the AST has more to offer to my liking - nicer cleans and tremolo. I'll get the Swart Night Light if the AST turns out to be a bit too much juice for my situation.

Good call. the Reverb and Tremolo on the AST are just stunning. Makes the amp so much more fun than ones with them.

I put a NOS RFT 12AX7 in V1 and some NOS RCA 6V6 and it just sings. Great amp!
