You are going to get a wide variety of answers on this one however, you can't go wrong with the Analogman or Keeley modded stuff. If you have the coin, the Ibanez handwired unit is suppose to sound great. Not sure if it is worth the price though.

Now and then an MSL Metal Screamer will pop up on Ebay. I purchased 3 of them in the last year all under $60, and they all have the JRC4558D and basically a TS circuit with a little more bass.
