Varieties of fattening a Strat

Hi,

As some of you know I record all my guitars direct and as many others I have felt there has been a lack of dynamics when using a digital modeller. There is also a sort of brittleness in the treble with the clean sounds. I wrote this tune while trying out a few ways to get closer to a better playing experience.

The first parts with the guitar harminics is a Boss GS-10 on its own. The clean guitar part is the GS-10 but with a Tonebone Classic in front of it. I found the TB to be very useful when set to very low gain for fattening the single coils. The distorted lead sound is the TB set to 7db midboost and mid gain and then run into the Guitar Rig program using the Plexi model on the verge of break-up.

Forgivness

As always I hope you enjoy it!

If you want the backing track, let me know and I'll fix it.

Cheers,

Mats N

Ah bliss Journo!
I love soundscapes...must be all that Pink Floyd and Mark Knopfler stuff I heard as a kid
Yours reminded of those players, very pretty and nice, thanks for sharing.
And I would not mind the track, they give good inspiration
