Powersupply for whammy & other pedals?

I plan to make a totally new pedalboard, and would like to be able to power my whammy pedal with whatever powersupply I intend to use. I don't know if it exists, but is there a powersupply that can match the voltage of both the the Digitech Whammy Pedal (WH-4) and around 4-5 other miscellanious pedals?

Although the Digitech Wahmmy says on the unit that it requires a 9VAC @ 1300mA, the Whammy actually needs around 350mA if I remember correctly. The labeling is actually what the supplied wallwart puts out. W/ that in mind, there are several PSUs out there that do have an outlet or two that supply 9VAC with a capacity of around 800mA. I don't know what your other pedals require, but it is probably between 9V-18V I assume.

Here is a link to Andreas' website w/ a list of PSUs, very usefull and worth bookmarking:http://stinkfoot.se/archives/808
Off the top, the Modtone Power Plant is the one that comes to mind that would suit your needs along w/ the CAE MC-403, but that is a big unit for your needs.

I believe the Whammy is around 700mA or so, but it could be less. The EX-7 is 350mA.

Finding a power supply that can do both DC (regular pedals) and 9vAC isn't easy. I have the Modtone, but even though it has a 9vAC/1000mA output it can't power my EX-7 cleanly, so I have to use the supplied Digitech adapter. I did have some contact with Modtone about this a while back, and they said they were working on a fix. Haven't heard anything for a good six months now, though

I'd take a look at the Cioks AC10 if I were you

I bought the Modtone to power my Whammy, and it ZAPPED it.
My WH1 doesnt sound the same anymore.

Check out Ciocks. I think they are supposed to have a power supply that works for Whammys

I will always just the courtesy outlet of my PP2 for my Whammy II. I definitely don't want to zap it!

Exactly. There's a courtesy outlet, why buy a special power supply for one pedal? Use the Digitech Adaptor
