Take care of that gear.

The old amps.. looks OK.. seems Ok.. power cord a little ratty? replace it!!

Just replaced a power cable for a guy, gratis.. I think I was electrocuted from looking at it. I pulled this amp from a live show this guy was doing. LOL

Yes, the ground pin from the AC plug was missing as well.

Yikes! I have had all my vintage amps "Three pronged" Good on you for taking care of the doods amp!

Yikes! That is so wrong and dangerous... Great job for taking care of that problem, before someone got electrocuted or it started a fire.

I've seen plenty of guys deliberately disconnect the ground on high voltage equipment to reduce hum

Me too,

This amp has a AC phase switch. so I was thinking he must of plugged into a outlet with only two prongs at sometime in its life..

I've plugged into many 2 hole outlets. I also managed to scrape together the $1 it took to get one of those little adaptors...
