Very sad indeed. I just heard the breaking news when Howard Cosell announced it during a football game on the radio today. I was only 5 when he was killed and don't remember when it happened but the John and the Beatles have had a profound impact on me since.

I was living in NYC at the time and the next day found an original "Imagine" button on the subway. I was looking for it recently, but can't for the life of me imagine where I put it - must have been a real safe place. Yeah I miss Lennon and wonder what he might have evolved into had he stayed part of the main stream.

I had never heard of the Beatles when John died. I do remember liking his song "Woman" very much; it was obviously on the radio alot at that time. Wasn't until the summer of '81 that I got my first taste of Beatles and they are still my favourite group.

I was watching the football game too. Devastating to all of us that night. And forever.

I think he would have went to Jon Stewarts "Sanity Rally."

Sane words from a smart man we'll never hear.
