What makes this sound?

Listen to Aaron's solo at 2:55-3:35, I think it's a fuzz + pitch shifter?

i think you have the right idea. def fuzz based. could be ring modulator or pitch shifter (whammy) along w/ the fuzz.

Not one of those octa-fuzz-thingies, then? I'll just have a listen.

Edit: Could be just the fuzz, actually. Some fuzzes create overtones that seems separate from the source sound. Quite a bit of distortion going on so it's pretty hard to tell for sure.

Yeah its probably a fuzz + pitch shifter
