My grandfather just passed away...
Hearing that news just sucked the air right out of me...
Life is short. Hug your family, tell them you love them and cherish this Holiday season with them.

He was a good man.

EDIT:
Thanks for all the love guys, I'm doing good and I've had some time to process and think about what has happened. It sucks, but its one of life's lessons, but i'm a firm believer that joy comes in the morning.

Hope you guys have a Merry Christmas and once again thank you all for the love.

I had all my grandparents up until 15 years ago..I lost my dad's dad on December 1, 1995...January 14, 1997 I lost my mother's father..Both had OPEN HEART SURGERY within 90 days of each other back in 1981 and they both passed away with one year and one month of each other..

I remember when my dad's dad died..THE CIRCLE HAD BEEN BROKEN..Then my mother's dad died and it really got to me..I stayed with them when I was younger, ( when my parents were working) and on the weekends..

Dad's mom passed away in 2004..My mother's mom is still kicking it at 90!...Hug your grandparents and tell them you love them..They won't always be here..Then hug your parents..Mine are getting older and it's hard for me to deal with it..TELL THEM YOU LOVE THEM EVERY CHANCE YOU GET!

Sorry to hear that. My pop-pop passed away long ago, I was 12. He was a great person. I still have the coolest pic of him on a old harley looking like Marlon Brando in The Wild One. I still miss him dearly to this day and I'm 46.

Loss is difficult in this life we live. In coming froma large family I truly understand this as I am the "baby" so to speak. I advocate this. turn your sense of loss into empowerment that only you can do. Take all those memories and good thangs you can recall of your grandad, and be happy that you had the time with him you had, that he is truly in a better place, and most of all, no one can take those things away from you.
