In a world of underrated distortion...
This Christmas, I was fortunate enough to receive two pedals, the Dunlop GCB-95 WahWah CryBaby and a BBE AM64. I'm a huge fan of both, but in the chain, if the AM64 is in front of the wah, the wah won't work. It's alsmot like it's getting a really cut volume, even at bypass. Without the wah, the pedal's fine and the level is consistent, the cables are all good, and the wah works great alone or in front of the distortion. Any ideas or thoughts on either this situation or the AM64?

The AM64 was a limited edition, Guitar Center exclusive bargain pedal (as far as I know)...
It's possible your wah doesn't like something to do with the input/output values.

I believe that what you need is a quality buffer. If my understanding of such matters is correct (and I will gladly concede if not so) wah pedals are tricky with some pedals in front / in back. My drop in kit came with a buffer to compensate for just such an anomoly. Don't just take my word for it, but definitely investigate.

man, i don't know the technicalities of it all, but some wah's do not play well after distortion boxes. it's probably an impedance thing, but it's something i've noticed more often than not as being the case, and 9/10 times i will always put my wah first in the chain, it just sounds better. i'm sure it has to do with impedance issues or something. but this isn't your, fault! just place it in your chain where it sounds best to you!

Thanks guys, I know it was a GC exclusive, but I got it in a trade against my old Epiphone Studio 10S (S stands for... well...
). I actually laughed when, upon opening the Wah Box, the directions for hooking it up a'la Hendrix were given. I'm thinking about the buffer, but really need more pedals to justify it... my charm bracelet is just beginning...

You can get one of the greatest buffers ever for $50 as a standalone piece. And it's wonderfully small.
Check it! http://www.visualsound.net/index.php/custom_shop/ (scroll down a bit to the Pure Tone Buffer)
