Thoughts on HBE Mimic analog delay???
So it's time for a new pedal, and I've been thinking about this one. I'm sort of a minimalist when it comes to pedals. My plan is two run my DRRI and tweed 5e3 clone in stero with the Tonebone JX-2, an anolog delay on one side, and my Shur Shiba Drive on the other. Any thoughts on the HBE Mimic??? Or suggestions on an analog delay???
Here's a Youtube clip of the pedal.... |

I picked up a Mimik Mach1 from a fellow TGPr and really like it. It adds a little brightness (slight sparkle might be a good description) to the signal and I really like like it. There is an internal trim pot for delay time that can be further tweaked using the external knob. I've had a Carbon Copy, and it was fine, but the Mimik adds a little sumthin sumthin that really makes it sound more pleasing, to my ears anyway.

I have a Mimic Mock II. I haven't played a lot of other analog delays, but I love the Mimic. I'm terrible at articulating tonal nuances from one pedal to another, but to me, the Mimic is flat out WARM. But, I love all of the HBE stuff. It just sounds good.

I have one but it can have trouble with clock noise at longer settings. I guess it's just kinda of a not the best but not the worst delay pedal to me. Better choices out there. I am digging the Duncan Deja Vue right now.
