Satin finish on G&L guitars
How do you like the feel of satin finished necks on G&L guitars? Are Gloss finishes a must as an upgrade or do their satin necks have a nice character as well?

I prefer satin finishes to gloss finishes on necks as they are less sticky. There's a reason builders like Tom Anderson, Taylor, G&L and others do 'em.

Also a fan of their satin finish necks. 3 of the 4 I've had were satin. The one that wasn't was a mid 80's ASAT with a terrible glossy finish that peeled/rolled off with use. Had to hit it with steel wool a couple times a year to cut through the dead finish. I've also played some around the late 90's that had very heavy gloss poly, and quickly put them back on the rack. Any G&L I may get hence will have the satin finish neck.
