Polyshades honey pine or shellac on tweed . . . have a favorite?
I've done shellac before on a tweed cab, and am about to do another one, but thought I'd might try the Minwax PolyShades honey pine.
Anyone done both? Did you prefer one over the other for the final result (I'm not really concerned about ease of application---just final look)?

shellac is so old school awesome.
You know you can buy great shellac in a can these days. Zinsser's Bullseye Sealcoat is pure flake shellac and alcohol in a can. Not expensive either considering what flakes and alcohol cost. |

I've used the minwax honey pine on 3 different tweed amps, works great and simple to use!

Did you find the honey pine dark? I've heard some say they thought it darker than the shellac route . . .

Shellac all the way. More uniform dries faster for multiple coats and has a way warmer vibe.
