2x12 cab advice

I'm in the market for a 2x12 cab and I need some advice. I play mostly Les Paul's through a Rivera R55 head (modified from a combo) and my style is mostly classic rock and blues...for the tone I'm looking for, think a warmer Tommy Castro.

There are just way too many variables and I want the opinions of those who know more than me!

Closed back? Open back? Good speakers? Vintage 30's?

I'd like to keep it $500 or less.

A used Bogner OS 2X12, preferably convertible back.

Avatar G212H Premium Traditional. Tons of options, excellent service, and a great value.

I have a Hellatone 30/60 mix in one and Scumbacks M75/H75 mix in the other. Both cabs sound great.

For great classic Fender tones, the Weber 12F150's seem to be the most popular
replacements.

A Celestion V30 and a Blue are a great mix. Blue and Cannabis Rex are also good. Avatar makes great stuff and has really good options at great prices.
