Woman & A Gun

I produced, arranged and played all acoustics, electric, lead and bass guitars on this desert-country type tune and sang backing vocals.
It was written and lead vox sang by my good friend and former bandmate, Joe Mahan.

Outro solo starts around 4:20.

Ah it worked this time (I had to reboot my computer ... sometimes, for some reason,
the sound just stops working ...)

Enjoyed it very much Jason ... everything about it...
topped off by your killer solo at the end.
Great production ...

He is a good singer. Solo fits the tune.

Thanks for listening. I appreciate it.

I really enjoy working with singer-songwriters, laying a drum reference loop, having them play and sing a guide track and then building the song around that. That was the bulk of my work when I had my project studio in the 90s. I really love playing bass and arranging vocals and have always viewed myself much more in that light than just being a guitar player. It's very rewarding for a songwriter who's never heard his or her song in any other way than simply acoustic or piano to hear it through the filter of another musician's process and with full instrumentation.

(If I remember correctly, that guitar solo is a Tom Anderson Cobra into a Rt 66 for comp and a tiny bit of drive into a Mesa Maverick212.)
