Fryette/VHT question

Any difference in the two deliverance models other than the power? I played the sig X and was also wondering how it compares gain wise.

I know it doesn't have all the bells and whistles as the sig but was wondering about the main tonal differences.

me, i kinda prefer the d120 to the sig-x.....
though the sig-x is certainly much more quickly flexible,
what with its 3 beautifully "designable" channels,
3 boosts, loop & all.

the d120 offers, imo, a much bigger footprint than does the d60,
w/its massive headroom (if you dial it that way) & thump.
the d60 is more focussed, w/less mass to the low end:
still big, just not as big & broad as the d120.
iow:
the power levels make a tremendous difference, to me, personally;
the d120 is clearly one of my favorite amps of ever, or..... maybe it is actually my favorite amp.
i've used it in all kindsa recordings & gigs, and way happily so.

the sig-x offers its very own groups of voices,
though one can come pretty close to the d120,
if that's what yer looking for.

just my 2¢entablos, there.

Thanks for the info. The prices on the D60's are getting pretty nice. I also like that they might be a little softer than the 100's. But the lack of some low-end might be a problem.

The D60 only lacks low end next to the D120. That is like saying Shaqs foot is smaller than Chewbaccas. They both have big ass feet compared to everyone else.

I have a D120h. I love it!!! It is my favorite amp.

I also have 3 Mesas and a Cornford. The D just sounds so much better it is really hard to discribe.

So a D60 wouldn't be that different, just lack a little low end? I think I have a chance at one for a pretty good price but I might hold out for the bigger model if its worth it. Volume and headroom is not an issue.

others have very different opinions;
i much prefer the d120, myself, for its breadth & headroom,
and that
--- due to those things ---
it feels more flexible.

here's one odd (but, exposed) example of a clean tone, w/my d120:
them buried standing
