I like the look of the bridge, I love fender guitars in general but I hate trem bridges so so much. I think this could be a great mod platform IF...the quality is ther like on the classic vibe series.

I hate the thought of a JM w/o a tremolo but for $299 is a low buck to get your into JM tones for sure...

However for a little more $$$ you could get a used Classic Player which is a SMOKIN piece for the cash.

That is way over-simplified. Both those brands have good and bad guitars, and you can't even compare them because they have very different price points.

it looks like the bridge is just screwed in, so in theory you could drill two holes for a JM bridge, route the body for a vibrato and you'd be pretty close to a real JM. however that's silly that they put a strat input jack there... that ruins any possibilities of getting it all the way to a real JM.

Isn't that the idea behind the series i.e "Vintage Modified"? take a well know vintage Fender design and mod it! Im not saying its a good mod or not but I like it and can see myself trying one of these out.

Very cool looking guitar, if I can find one that's nice and light, I might very well get one.

bridge is the deal killer for me. get a decent trem - or at least a cheapo i can pull off and replace - and we're talking serious GAS.

but for $50 more, we're in CV territory.
