Well... This looks like a 14 year old girl who stumbled upon a guitar forum whilst googling, and will never contribute beyond this thread.... But welcome none the less
![]() My Answer: Well, first of all, a classical guitar is an acoustic guitar. Just a different type, usually used for finger picking. Taylor Swift doesn't do a lot of that, I believe she does a lot more strumming-styled acoustic stuff (not really a listner). If you want to become a musician and focus on that style, you should probably just buy a beginner acoustic. If you are petite or have a smaller frame, you could go for a 3/4 guitar, which is a normal guitar just a little scaled down. Here is a good option : http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/p...ack?sku=485355 It also comes with some assorted crap to help you start playing. Good luck ![]() P.S. If you are going to start playing, don't just jump right into learning some multi-chord Taylor Swift song. Learn the names of your chords, learn the string names, ect. Don't just google a tutorial on your favorite song and start there. |

Taylor guitars have released a Taylor Swift Baby Taylor guitar... pretty cheap small acoustic guitar. Depending on where you are you might can find them... even here in the mountains of Japan our local store has one for ¥47900 (~$500 US)

You want a steel-string, 6-string acoustic guitar. "Classical" acoustic guitars have nylon strings. Folk/pop guitars are steel string.

According to Taylor guitars, "Her two main performance Taylors are her custom, all-koa PSGA (AA koa top, Florentine cutaway, “Taylor” fretboard inlay, passive ES) and a Swarovski crystal-encrusted GS6 that was originally decorated for a video shoot. Her other models include a 615ce, maple PS-LTD with a tobacco sunburst and Florentine cutaway, a pink T5-S (with flake-top finish), a pair of K65ce’s, a custom maple Dreadnought with the “Living Jewels” koi fish inlay, a PSGA and a black SolidBody Classic." You can find all those models (except for the Swarovski crystal covered one) on the http://www.taylorguitars.com website.

I'm not the biggest Taylor Swift fan, but if she inspires kids to learn guitar, I'm all for her! I had a student who played one of the Taylor Swift Baby Taylor's, and it's a great guitar for a beginner. |

Those crystals have got to be tone killers.

If the Baby Taylor doesn't work, and you're not too small yourself, you could look into Ibanez Exotic Wood guitars. They have that Taylor look and especially the cool wood tops. You can find them used for a couple hundred dollars.
