G-DEC 3 Vs. Mustang Sound Engine
I was looking at the Fender Fuse manual and it references both the G-DEC 3 and the Mustang. That makes me wonder- is the sound engine (software modeling and processor) the same for both the G-DEC 3 and the Mustang amps?

i read on the fender forums that the tone generating chip guts are the same, though it was not a fender source at the time, so I'd say likely but unconfirmed.
can the two trade presets without any conversion? i have a gdec-3 on the way fwiw. seems like too much fun to not keep in the house for practice. |

They both use the same basic Cyber II engine, but internal differences are known only to Fender. Don't believe anything's transferable between units.
