G-DEC 3 Vs. Mustang Sound Engine

I was looking at the Fender Fuse manual and it references both the G-DEC 3 and the Mustang. That makes me wonder- is the sound engine (software modeling and processor) the same for both the G-DEC 3 and the Mustang amps?

i read on the fender forums that the tone generating chip guts are the same, though it was not a fender source at the time, so I'd say likely but unconfirmed.

can the two trade presets without any conversion?

i have a gdec-3 on the way fwiw. seems like too much fun to not keep in the house for practice.

They both use the same basic Cyber II engine, but internal differences are known only to Fender. Don't believe anything's transferable between units.
