The Beatles - Complete Scores: worth it?

Is the Hal Leonard Beatles - Complete Scores worth $50?

I've got one son teaching himself piano with an Easy Beatles book which is often egregiously wrong and another that's a budding bass player and needs some accurate tabs.

Also is it only available in that micro-print hardcover or can you get a spiralbound large print version for old Dads like me?

You may find this a suitable alternative, even though it seems aimed at guitarists:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/%2522Beatles...6086200&sr=8-3
- I don't have it myself, but the reviews look good.

I hesitate to encourage piracy, but a simple google reveals a few sites offering downloadable PDFs of the Complete Scores, such as...
http://sataid.net/forum/showthread.p...omplete-Scores
- the 2nd link at bottom of the thread seems to work - I just tried it, and got 261 MB of slighty fuzzy (but legible) scans.

Question for your conscience: can you stand to deprive the poverty-stricken copyright owners of their just rewards? (I just did, and will now burn in hell forever. But if Sir Paul comes knocking at my door begging, I'll be happy to give him the few quid he's due.)
(Of course, if you want a spiral-bound print-out, you have a lot of work ahead of you...)

I'm not aware of a spiral bound large print version.

There are some errors in the scores but I think they are mostly things that will be obvious and easily overcome.

I thought it was worth it when I bought it for $78.00 when it first came out.

More than the micro-print, I have a problem with the font used but it's still my go-to book.

If the goal is accuracy, the Beatles Complete Scores is very good. So are the "Beatles To A Tee" videos here, and they are spectacular: http://www.to-a-tee.tv/ - well worth the purchase.

Wow those videos are intriguing. Mainly wanting the Complete Scores for my kids on bass and piano.

Only ten songs but I really like this book:

Yeah, almost got that for him for Christmas, but got paralysis by analysis reading the reviews of it and several similar Beatles bass books on Amazon such as "The Beatles 67-70 Bass Recorded Versions", and "The Beatles 62-66 Bass Recorded Versions". Apparently, some can't agree on which ones are accurate.

I can generally figure out the bass parts and show him. But he's asking for a Beatles bass tab book, and my eldest is a drummer learning piano, so I thought Complete Scores would kill two birds with one stone.

I have the complete scores and the complete chords book. The complete scores is amazing, but the font is small (so I can't see it very well on a piano stand) and the pages so thin that I don't use it.

I bought the chord book by Rooksby and then had Staples slice off the binding and spiral bind it for me. I recommend this route.

The Complete Scores is considered "The Bible" by most Beatles bands. Best thing is it has every part laid out as played; guitar (with leads), bass, all vocals, etc. I find it to be very accurate (enough for 99% of reference).

But it does not turn the songs into two clef piano music as so many "fake books" do - with guitar symbols over the staffs.

Yes, it's worth $50. I'm not sure if it includes TAB.

Yes

not without mistakes, but more accurate than anything else I've seen.
