Pedal board order help

Hey,

Just wanted a bit of help/confirmation on my pedal board setup and wondered if anyone could help.

I currently run:

Orange Thunder 30 valve- chromatic tuner- wah pedal - fender telecaster

LOOP: electro harmonix delay - mxr booster

My question was--- I am planning on replacing the MXR boost for an Ernie Ball volume pedal- i want more control over my overall volume, (the MXR is a bit one dimensional, ie its only one setting)

Would the best option be just to put it in place of the MXR boost? or do i need to put it elsewhere for better results? i dont want to 'swell' any fx in etc etc (i dont use a lot of fx) i just want to control over all volume?

any help would be much appreciated- also do i need the 25/ or 250k model??
