cold weather brethren, -23 in Oklahoma panhandle

Ok, so it's 2 degrees w/ a windchill of -23... still, we all empathize with all the of our brethren suffering with cold weather wherever you are.
stay warm out there (in there!)

Killer cold here today, too! Twelve below this morning, with a wind chill of -32.
Of course, our friends in Alberta just laugh at us.

I'm fine until it gets down to single digits and below. Then I lose my sense of humor about it. Stuff doesn't like to work when it gets cold like that.
We had a fair amount of ice last night, but no big problems as of yet; nothing like the ice storm we had years ago that pulled the power line off the side of my house.

Ever try to start a fire underneath a pine tree with snow on the limbs
with one match in your hand..and the snow tumbles to the ground and puts
your match out? Then your found blue and frozen and snow deep and dead?

...but only after you tried to cut open your dog to warm your feet, and he danced just far enough away to watch you die.

Until you're out in it.

No matter how cold it gets (that I've ever been in) I can stand it.
Not when it's windy though.

Texas in February and especially in March is "The Windy City".
Chicago has nothing on us in that department.

Even here in AZ we were down to 7F this morning ... expecting the same tonight

supposed to only get up to 31F for a high

We've been cruising in the 60s and 70s most of January, but cold today

Should be back into the 60s in time for the Super Bowl, though.

BRrrrrrrr
