Red Plate Reverb
I notice the Red Plate amps use a very tiny reverb pan. I've never heard great reverb from an amp using a pan like that (don't mean to imply it can't be done). So, how does the reverb sound on these? I'm used to good blackface amp verb. Would I be dissappointed?

Henry told me he tried the larger pan and the small one sounded better.

You can set the reverb to "off" and still put a reverb pedal or delay in the buffered loop. Alot of options and approaches. But having said all of this, I do think the RP reverb is superb with the medium tank.

I never noticed the size of the pan on mine before but I have to say the BlackVerb reverb is really really good.
This discussion of the size of the reverb pan making a difference in the sound explains a lot to me. I've noticed on stereo setups how the reverb on notes comes in louder in one speaker more than the other when I turn the Pan control. I never knew what that was there for before. I guess you learn something new every day.
