Poul Ciok and his power supplies BIG THUMBS UP

I contacted Poul months ago about his AC10, DC10, and TC10. I asked him a million and one questions, and he went out of his way to answer every one of them. I gave him my list of pedals I was trying to power, and he gave me great advice about them. In particular, I had two Kingsley pedals that required high mA AC, and two Strymons that require an absolute minimum of 200mA 9VDC. I really wanted one power supply to do all my stuff. His AC10 seemed like the perfect solution, but I was worried that I might be running it at it's limits. He assured me that when an output is labelled 200mA on one of his supplies, it will deliver that and not drop below, which was particularly important for the Strymons, as they'll stop functioning without it.

Well, fast forward several months, and after spending my gear money on several other things, I finally got around to buying the AC10. It powers 2 x Kingsleys, 2 x Strymons, Empress Trem, Turbo Tuner and a couple of others perfectly.

I had been concerned about mounting the supply under a Pedaltrain 2 (which I believe is possible with some fussing around) but as it turns out, I think I want it on top of my board anyway. It's LEDS will indicate if any one output is overloading, and there is a 'breathing' main LED that shows you how hard the unit is working. I think it'll be worth having this visible. Seeing as I'm running this thing at it's limits, I've tested it by leaving everything on for hours at a time, and while it does warm up a bit, it remains solid.

Being really happy with the unit, I decided I should contact Poul and thank him for all of the answered questions, and let him know that the AC10 was running all my particular gear successfully.

He replied personally, and thanked me for the information. he keeps a record of this sort of stuff, so he can inform other clients. I also asked where I might be able to buy an additional specific cable to run from the power supply. He graciously decided to send me one free of charge!

I can't imagine better customer service, and his products are impressive. If you're in the market for a power supply, I'd encourage you to look into his stuff, and see if there is something that might suit you.

ideally two strymons two 'factors and a bunch of random overdrives.... the factors are killing me when it comes to power supplies. i've been inappropriately overloading my old v.1 juicebox to power them, but even than i can't get enough juice to power both the strymons as well, so i've got a mess of random power cables and supplies under the board (in and of itself is not a problem, but it adds A LOT of weight)

Personally I would love to power a Pitchblack, couple of 9v+ dirts, a 24v+ Dmm, a -ve gnd 9vPNP Fuzz and an old EHX DEM which I'll probably have to mod from it's 110v AC in for 240v DC!
Ya reckon I could get all that off one supply with out doubling from the 12v outs?

The DC10 should work well for the 2 Factors and the Strymons, and give you 4 more 100mA 9V outs. The leads from the supply have an RCA connector, and I'm not sure if you can run a daisy chain off them... but he does do a Split Flex cable that would let you run two things off a 100mA out. So, four of those cables will let you run a bunch of low mA stuff.

I was thinking of ditching my Pedaltrain 2 for a Pro, and running an AC10 and a DC10, and just about every effect I own! However, I think the weight would kill me, so I've decided to stick with the Pedaltrain 2 and AC10, and I might get a second Pedaltrain 2 and DC10 to build a second board around some other effects.

Will these mount, let alone fit, to the bottom of a Pedaltrain, with a minimum of effort like Pedal Power supplies? Do these have courtesy AC outlets?

If not, total deal breakers for me. I'm not about to give up top of the board real estate for multiple power supplies.
