FYI - I'm in an Americana band so band volumes don't get crazy loud. And our drummer doesn't hit crazy hard. I have a Roland Cube-30, it's pretty good for home practice and low volume band practices. For live shows, I bring in an older GK MB112E. The GK is surprisingly loud and if you need extra volume it has a DI built in for PA support.

If it were me id get the peavey, even the TKO is cheap and good. Then spring for an EVM speaker. That thing is extremely efficient and takes most bass amps into tone zone.

It's a 4.5 hour Road trip to Bass Central - one of the best bass stores on the planet. Right near Orlando, so you could make a little vacation out of it as well
