Analogman Maxon OD-9 classic mod or TS-808 TV mod w/TB, or go vintage?

Am I crazy? I have a Timmy, Honey Bee, Clark/Barber Gainster...but I still want a damn good tubescreamer. I started out with an Analogman ts9 and loved it for years, but forced myself to get as far away from them as possible (trying to get out of the Stevie Ray Vaughan-a-thon) I was in as a young blues player. I've found my style/voice, and feel like I could do some good stuff with one now. I used to stack a ts with my klon, and I feel like returning to my roots. I play fender guitars thru tweed/blonde/bf amps...a tubescreamer is meant to be in between those. I honestly feel I could move my tgp holy grail drives, and just stack an 808 and klon...and use my fuzzes for my other grit.

So Analogman TS-808 True Vintage Mod (w/TB) or Maxon OD-9 w/classic mod, or go vintage ts-808?

I've heard you can get him to do the TV mod on the Maxon. That's what I would get. The better build quality of the Maxon(which has true bypass) plus the sweet TV mod. I had a TB 808 TV mod and had to sell it. It's the one that got away. I miss it.

Thank you both for the great feedback! I'm gonna dig into that Maxon TV mod, and see what Mike can do...

I've had a silver mod ts9, and wasn't crazy a out it. It was a good pedal, just wasn't what I was after.
