EQ: in front or in the loop?

How do you do it? Why?

I use mine to boost mids with certain amps. Also to cut mids with certain overdrives.

(Hey I just realized, I need two!)

Mine's up front, after the drive pedals. I save the loops for delay.

EQ

I use mine in the effects loop in front of chorus & delay; just seems to sound better there, and I use it for a slight boost for solos. I've tried it in front and in the serial loop on my amp and it always goes back into the FX loop

If I put one in front it's going to be used as a boost to an already cooking amp, like for a lead boost with distinct EQ properties. Levels will be high to push the preamp section and particular frequencies will be emphasized.

For the loop I use one for more general, overall tone shaping. Less radical settings apply.
