Clip of my BFG modded 2203

Bought this amp about a month ago and took it to Briango2000 (Brian) to have it modded and he made the amp just sound incredible!!!! Here is a high gain clip of a friend playing it.

Are you referring to the lack of response for anything other than a two rock, dumble clone, fuchs, 3 monkeys and for amps with more than 1 power tube in general.....

Preamp gain was at 3 on the dial. I don't post here a lot but do read stuff often, but yeah that's what I was referring to. No worries though. I have built a few of those types too, just not my thing anymore.

wow, that is a lot of gain at 3 on the dial...sounds really good though. I have a few of friedmans mods done to various amps and I llike those too. Do you incorporate an additional preamp tube? Can this be done to a PCB 2203 without much hassle? curious.

Yes he put an added tube in it and then modded from there. The amp still has the Plexi tones in it but it goes up to whats in this video as far as gain goes and like Brian said the gain is on 3, it remains tight and solid with the gain up. I have never been so happy with an amp!

I can add this to any 2203 800 or Plexi.
