Nylon String Axe Suggestions

My wife would like a guitar for singer songwriter type use, she does not currently play. I have electrics and a 6 steel string acoustic so I thought it would be good to get a nylon string for her and also add another sound to our stable of guitars.

So I am looking for suggestions on guitars under $500US. I don't think I want a straight up classical guitar as the neck is big and my wife is small and won't be playing classical anyway.

What about a Gypsy Jazz guitar or what other models have smaller necks and can be easily played by pick and fingers, we will both use the guitar.

On board electronics not mandatory but would be nice.

Godin makes very nice multiacs

Yamaha makes very good ones also with regular necks as opposed to the bigger ones found on classical guitars.

I have been looking at the Godin's but I think they may be lacking when played without an amp. I suspect a Takimine or yamaha will work, need to go play some but would still like to hear others advice, thanks

So I went to GC at lunch and picked up a Cordoba GK Studio and thought I would leave a review.

I bought this guitar for my wife but I will probably use it more than her. It is a balanced sounding guitar with good workmanship with the plus of the onboard electronics. It fits a lot of uses for me, recording, writing and micing the guitar with a good condenser. I am looking forward to lots of playing time with it.
