Stacking Dirt; opinions please

I just took delivery of a V4 OCD I won on ebay. I intend to stack it with my Lovekraft Mojodrive, to obtain a) dirty rhythm, b) dirty lead, and a+b) for fairly high gain lead tones, into a clean amp. So my question is, in what order, and which pedal for lower gain and higher gain. Obviously, I have ears and will experiment, but I'd like to see your votes & opinions. BTW, I play mostly classic rock, some blues, and some newer hard rock, mostly on a PRS. Thanks.

Every rig is different, and so are the ears, best to just try and see which order you like them. There isn't really a wrong way, just the way you, as the user, like it best.......

Those photos do encourage some stacking.

I would have the higher gain one in front, and the lower gain one behind it. The reason being that the higher gain OD you like will be on for all your rhythm. Need a boost for solos? Put on the lighter gain one before it to get more sustain and 'oomph' while still maintaining the same tone as the higher gain OD by itself.

The pedal that is last in the chain will tend to influence the tone the most. So, think of which one you want to be the base tone and put it last. If you are wanting a volume boost for solos, you will tend to get more volume putting the pedal with the volume boost last in the chain. Putting it first will tend to push the second pedal into more dirt, but with less of a volume boost. Both can be cool. Some pedals don't like being boosted too much, so that may influence the order you place them in.

I tend to think of pedals that are amp like as and extension of my amp. I put them last and use other dirt pedals push them, like I would use them to push my amp if it was breaking up.

Add another in the poll for the bump option please..

If your driving the mojodrive into the OCD for high gain while playing the amp stacked into the upper lower gain stuff.. er uh..

O nevermind.
