Boss DM2 - Free. Ex-girlfriends brother was in a hardcore punk band and "didn't see much point in delay".
Late 70s Block Logo Phase 90 - $25 at a garage sale. Menatone 7 knob KoTB and Boss CE-3 - in a box with a few other non working effects. One was great straight off the bat, the other wasn't too hard or expensive to get happening. (both given as a very generous offer from a respected member here, thanks mate!)

Recently I got a Pigtronix EP-1 envelope phaser with Pigtronix expression pedal, all in new condition for 100 bucks shipped.
A couple years ago I got a Kay fuzz [the orange plastic treadle one], a Sekova fuzz, a Clark fuzz, and a Walco fuzz for 150 bucks. This deal was total dirt heaven.

Mid 90's I picked up a Mutron III for $6 at a garage sale at the bottom of my street.
She said I missed some guitars and amps earlier in the day

ibanez dl10- 5 bucks, and then a ddl10 for free from a guy i did some set up work for. bought what i thought was a listing for a ts9 back in 93 from a newspaper. when i showed up to meet the guy it was 2 ts9's and a ce3 with a daisy chain, pwr supply and a boss 3 pedal case. the listing was $75. I told the guy I'd gladly give him another 100, after some back and forth he only ended up accepting another 25 bucks. also scored an original ad9 from bcr music in the early 90's for about 50 bucks. the 90's were good to me. still have all those pedals too. in the same camp, my first amp was at a yardsale, an peavey classic 212 w/ reverb and trem, $50- the guy said, "its got tubes in it, I doubt anything is using that technology anymore, good luck finding replacements". also, i snagged a pair of semour duncan custom 3 p90's for $5 from guitar center on a closeout/clearence sale and a 1/4 pounder tele pick up for $10, all 3 currently in my main guitar...
