thanks to everyone who contributed. I decided to let it go after some thought...and I ended up getting the world's greatest deal in return too. I traded it for the following four pedals:

Sunface NKT w/sundail
Skreddy Screwdriver
Eternity
Hartman NTK fuzz

Sorry...KoT loses ;-)

wow, great deal! you may not have quite the same low gain tones as the king of tone with those, but ill put it this way, out of the tons of dirt pedals ive tried, my favorite were the king of tone, screwdriver, and tim/my. (closely followed by jhs morning glory, xotic ac and bb and honeybee clone, probably followed by barber ltd.)
honestly, with those pedals you got in trade, if you added a good low gainer you could get any sound you wanted

Sold mine, never missed it...great trade mojo you've got there. Congrats. Just hold onto the Skreddy Screw Driver.

Either them pedals you got in return were stolen or the person that traded them were high.

I wouldnt trade a sunface with sundial straight up for a KOT let alone a Screwdriver and an Eternity!

I just bought a KOT V4 for $325 in the Emporium. A Sunface with Sundial sells for $300 to $350. Lol!

I'm excited about it because I currently use a T1M Pearl, which is his spin on an updated Fish Factory, but it's ballsier and definitely an insanely awesome two-OD box! I'm also getting a Tim within the next two weeks-ish (I hope!!), so I'm planning on running a comparison of the T1M Pearl, KoT v4, and Tim through both my '69 Super Reverb and AC 30. We'll see who fits the bill. The least adaptable of the 3 goes to the Emporium.

Regardless, I'm excited to get my HG-red KoT v.4 today! And for anyone who seems disenchanted with the KoT, I'm telling you, check out Dan's T1M Pearl (www.this1smyne.com). It's a really really versatile two-OD box with tons of gain on-tap, and it gets LOUD!
I play a 65 AC30 and a 67 Bf Super Reverb with a 54 Les Paul and Gretsches. I have searched High and low for pedals. With the Ac30 its a DLS and a Hot Cake, the Super Reverb its a Bluesbreaker style pedal. I recently got a Butah and love it. Its what I was looking for. I ruled out the KOT cause of the investment. I love the Butah so much it has me wondering about the KOT even more. I (as I keep mentioning) love the Butah (bluesbreaker style) but now that I have the sound, I'm wondering about having more control over the bass, treble and mids. The butah only has a tone knob. It sounds great, but I wonder what if I had more control over the seperate frequencies... makes me wonder about the KOT??? I'm still in honeymoon mode with the Butah (two days so far) but I havent played this much non stop in years. i know one thing for sure, after maybe 20 pedals this is the first one I really love with the Super Reverb, So I know I'm on to something with the Bluesbreaker style pedal, now I just want to try every bluesbreaker style pedal out there!!!

To be honest its not my best pedal. Its not even in my top 5 but the lengthy wait time keeps me from flipping it. Plus i don't need the cash so there in a box it sits.

Well, if you ever tire of those four, I can take them off your hands and give you a KOT in return...
