LS-2 Strikes Again
I've had a LS-2 for some time now and it is just a super handy pedal.
I had been using it to switch channels on my Bassman, works perfect. With some inspiration from a couple recent threads and some re-thought and re-wiring I've solved two of my problems and added an enhancement. First problem fixed, I am able to bypass all effects and go straight to the amp with one stomp. Second problem fixed, I can dial up the level on the effects as high as I want and control the overall output level with the LS-2 Enhancement, I can blend the dry signal with the effected signal to any ratio and control overall output level. New problem, I'm going to need a second one for channel switching. How are you using yours?

Great pedal! I've had the same one on my pedalboard for 7 years. Whatever you're using for, you can also power a bunch of pedals with it via daisy chain. Very useful.
As for actual use of its functions, for a while I was using it to compensate for output volume differences between two guitars (a strat and a higher output 335-type guitar); this could easily be done with one stomp by setting the pedal to A>B and boosting the volume on one of the channels a little. I could swap guitars between songs and never touch anything else. For the last few years I've used it as a buffer and 2-level master volume control (kind of like a clean boost). It's at the end of my effects chain and gives me two volume levels, again, set to A>B. I can boost my own solos from the stage, and whether my tone is clean or overdriven, the boost is just as effective way since it's post-gain. Those are two pretty tame examples of what you can do with this pedal. The LS-2 deserves more recognition, for sure. |

I love my LS2.
I've used is as: FX loop Channel switcher Amp switcher Clean boost wet/dry FX mixer (Haven't need to use it as a mute pedal yet, but it'd do that too!) It's my swiss army knife pedal, always the solution to my problems (apart from what to play!)
