Demeter Fat Control - Who uses one??

Hello!

I'm intrigued by the Demeter Fat Control. I read about it in another thread here and thought it deserved its own thread.

Would you describe it as an always on pedal for strats and teles? Is it mainly to be used with drives or will it work on cleans too and how does it react to rolling back the volume on the guitar?

Most importantly... if it is on all the time, can it be used in front of a germanium fuzz without buggering the impedance and whatnot??

I think it's a great pedal for Strats and Teles. I recently experimented with pedal order a bit and am really really impressed with the buffer (placing it last in the chain of 6-8 true bypass pedals). I wouldn't recommend placing it before a fuzz.

I have had one for about four years now - the pedal version (not the guitar install kit). I use it with my Suhr S style - it works very well with the V60Lp single coil set I have in that guitar - it gives me the same oomph I got with an EC Strat (production model, very heavy) and it's built in mid-boost. I also use it with P90's to push them into more HB zone when needed - works real well when we cover Allman Bros material. It really does that well and helps reduce the number of guitars you need to carry around. I also like the fact that it seem like anyway that it can be dialed in with a little more finesse than the EC Strat mid-boost - a little goes a long way. Maybe it's just the pot travel taper difference between what was in the guitar vs. what's on the pedal - I have it the first thing after the tuner so it affects the total guitar tone going downstream, as if it were built in. Has never seemed to sound weird that way.
