Arrow Forte 3D 112: S.F. Bay Area - PM me if you want to hear one.

I am not selling, I am only providing those of us out in San Francisco an opportunity to hear one since no one has one here.

Hi all. For some time I have been curious about the Forte cabs (Forte Musical), especially the 3D 112. No one in the S.F. Bay Area seems to own one.

So . . . Dave @ Forte Musical has graciously allowed me to borrow his 3D 112 cab to try out. I will receive it late March.

If you are in the S.F. area and are willing to come to my place (note: I may change the location later as this project develops), send me a PM with your
1) name,
2) phone number,
3) and e-mail address

and I will put you on a list to come by and hear it. If you want, also post a reply in this thread so I can see what kind of interest this generates.

I’m thinking you can come and bring your own head and guitar to try it out, maybe even bring your favorite cab too to compare it with.

This is a project in development so other changes may happen as things move forward.

OK all!

Dave has been great in accommodating me on this. I reserve the right to cancel this at any time and to promote Dave's Forte cab after I have heard it.

PM me (and post a reply in this thread) with the aforementioned information if you are SERIOUSLY interested in hearing this cab. I won't share your contact info.

Excellent!!

I've been interested in one of the Forte cabs (the 3D 2x12), and would love the opportunity to check one out. That would be fantastic, and I'm grateful to both of you for making that arrangement. I'll even volunteer my place to crank up the volume, if need be...

What speaker(s) will be used?

- Thom

A classic: EVM12-L, perhaps the Black Shadow version.

The EVM12-L seems an excellent choice. I've got a Trainwreck Liverpool "clone" as well as other amps to try, if I can. Should be a lot of fun, as well as helpful.

Bettset, are you going to join in?

FYI, the demo cabinet is a little different from the current offering. It was built before we moved to CNC production so it's built from 5/8" Baltic rather than 3/4", and it does not have the weight-reducing channels. It weighs about 3 pounds more than the current 3D 112. Tone-wise it's nearly identical.

Brainstorming for ideas - maybe I could bring it to a local blues jam . . .

Anyone else have ideas how I can showcase this in the S.F. Bay Area? IT's a great opportunity to check this out. Personally, I was going to have a couple cabs made by Peter Mather - and still may do that - but this cab has gotten kudos from some of our guys and thought I'd check it out before I spent the dough.

Chime in for ways I can show this cab in the area to our own.

I took a look behind me, but you weren't there... I am curious whether you're located in the East Bay?

Anyway - I'm looking forward to this. RR - when are we generally looking to do this?
