12AY7 in V2 of Victoria Ivy League?
it says on the tube chart you can swap a 12Y7 in place of the 12ax7. wHAT EFFECT DO YOU THINK THIS WILL HAVE?

actually, I looked again, and it doesn't have a 12AY7 listed on the chart for V2. But I'm sure you could. I did put in a set of old Sylvania 6V6's and swapped out the 6AT tube in V1 for the other tube listed on the tube chart (forget what it is) It is a good change for me, little more gain and top end bite.

Considerably more input headroom (For given stage)
the 12AY7 is a voltage device, like an AX7, just with less amplification or MU. AU7 and AT7s are the the wrong device in a voltage stage. Those two tubes amplify current well.
