What Chorus Pedal Sounds Like A Boss CE-5?
I love the CE-5 chours sound, but the one I brought home (and returned), easily overloded/clipped with my humbucker equiped guitars. I'd like to get that same sound from a pedal with more headroom and tru bypass. Any suggestions?

Wow, I have had a CE-5 for years with no trouble at all- Now I do use single coils, BUT I always have an OD pedal ON when using the Chorus (I set mine to a "Fake Leslie" tone) Seriously, no issues and no "tone suck". (I don't use more than 4-5 pedals max: Guitar>OD(s)>TU-2 Tuner> CE-5>DD-3> amp)

I just bought a CE-3 MIJ for $60 (a good deal) but it was also breaking up. But I found a trim pot on the inside where you can back off the input which cleaned it up. I agree the demoes of the CE-5 on YouTube sound good.
However - I don't like my CE-3 and will be selling it. I guess one shouldn't rely on Youtube demos, but I did just hear the TC Electronics Corona and I like it - so I just ordered one. It is a lot more versatile. I do still have an analog MXR chorus with an AC chord (Vintage - with box). If I end up going back to that then oh well... it actually does sound pretty sweet, especially compared to this boss I just got.
