Charlie the Warlock Sues Warner Bros for $100 Million

I find this very amusing, especially the "fired for being sick" part. Does he really think he has a chance of winning?

Your asking this about a tiger-blooded warlock with Adonis DNA?

Of course he thinks he has a chance.

$100 million? That's gotta be a week-long party for Sheen.

Well, when you think about it... How can a Warlock, Vatican Assassin really be stopped?

I feel sorry for those WB guys. Their movements against the F-18 may be the worst move since suggesting that Bruce Lee film that scene with Chuck Norris.

We don't yet know the legal merits (or lack thereof) regarding his suit.

Given how he has acted recently, the legal system is likely to be predisposed against him, but if his lawyers (and he can afford the best) argue an incontrovertible case based soundly in legal precedent he could end up with a tidy sum.

Do you really think that they didn't have a "Moral Turpitude" clause in his contract? I'm inclined to believe that WB has the upper hand and he doesn't have a chance in Hell. I also think this suit is frivolous and the court will probably see it that way too. But since I'm not an attorney and am not acquainted with all the details, who knows?

Less than half of that $100 million is for Sheen. He's also trying to get the rest of the cast paid. A great strategic move. In a case like this there is more than just the technical legalities - there is the court of public opinion and how that will affect the show if it resumes. Imagine the next season starting with a lawsuit pending regarding cast members getting paid, and CBS fighting against them, via the Sheen suit. Messy.

I also believe something Sheen said early on - that he has yet to divulge damaging info about Lorre, et al.

Btw, these bits he's doing like the Winning Recipes video, and the theater appearances, will prove that he has been well enough to work and complete the season if it had not been cancelled. Armchair diagnosis by CBS, and clueless onlookers, are being countered by Charlie through real action. Some folks only know how to judge a book by its cover.

If so then WB itself waived it when it renewed his contract while he was still facing felony assault charges and in rehab the third time.

Sheen's argument is that WB is well aware of his foibles and still kept him on. It's a valid contract defense; "course of conduct" and/or "customary business relationship."

You may be right about the ultimate outcome, but the suit itself is far from invalid.
