Not bonding with my Rat. Suggestions??
I just picked up a Keeley Modded Rat, and I'm not sure if it's something for me. Maybe I'm just not using it right.
I mostly use humbuckers through a Roccaforte HG100. I set my amp with a considerable amount of gain already. Is anyone else using their Rat as a boost/overdrive through a high gain amp? Any suggestions will help. Thanks! If not, it will probably be on the emporium soon.

Rats are made for clean amps, IMO.
You have the wrong tool for the job. Get a Way Huge Green Rhino or an MXR Classic OD.

+1 sounds like you could use a low-med gain OD.
keep that Rat though. It WILL come in handy in another application.

I'm using a Analogman modded TS9 for my OD and really like it. I'll probably stick with that for a while. I picked up the RAT to get something different, not to replace the TS9. I just haven't found any tones I want to use yet.

modified rats are sacrilege imo. Get a whiteface and be done with it. Modded versions always sucked and I had multiple keeleys.
