Remember how some Gibson acoustics used to have moustache bridges? This guy could offer mohawk bridges as an upgrade....

Does he personally sign the labia....uh....I mean label on the inside?

Are the braces shaved?

Does it usually feel morning fresh?

What about the g-string?

Does it get mad at you if you don't call for a week after playing it?

Does it prefer solo fingerstyle or does it respond best in a group?

Does it aurally excite you?

Does it refuse to stay in tune one week a month?

Does it need to be lubricated or is running your fingers up and down its neck enough?

Does it fret out when you bring another guitar home?

Inquiring minds want to know!

Look slightly copped from...

Claudio Pagelli's stuff...

when I was at the Musikmesse in F'kfurt last april, Nik Huber was sharing booth space with Claudio.
His stuff is so genuinely and insanely creative.
AND it sounds like a million bucks.
I personally am seriously into the Avantair... gotta get rid of a lot of guitars that are currently in this room, tho' ...this stuff is expensive...

Take care...

Slightly copped??? How do you figure that??

Pagelli's stuff looks like its from another planet. I do not see ANY similarity ... nothing even CLOSE. Are you looking at the same web site? Totally night and Day JJ. Slightly copped? How could you even COMPARE the two?? Much less say one copped from another.

As for Nik, its funny you mentioned that. Because inquiring about Nik's guitar's led me to Andreas through a friend of mine who is a professional guitar player in Germany. He introduced me to Andreas, whose guitars are every bit as finely made, for a much more realistic price.

Tell ya' the truth I just had a brief look at the acoustic that is featured on C**tz's webpage and told myself Uh-Oh....
Still...YMMV, etc so I guess you are entitled to your opinion .

As far as Nik's stuff is concerned I guess the real trial by fire is when you play one. THAT's when you know you're getting what you're paying for.

Again, YMMV, my 2 (euro) cents' worth, etc...

Cheers from Switzerland

Well considering you did absolutely NO research, other than looking at ONE picture (which STILL has NO resemblance whatsoever to that other gentlemans work) before you made the "copped" remark, I guess it's very "big" of you to allow me MY opinion .

MY opinion is derived from the first sentence in your TGP signature that appears at the bottom of all of your posts:

Hustling Nik Huber Guitars and Harry Häussel pickups.

MY opinion is that I would also be willing to bet you sell Mr. Pagelli's guitars as well?

MY opinion is that this explains your lack of research ... and, more importantly, reveals your real motive for slamming this Luthiers integrity and craftmensip.

But remember JJ ... it's Progress, not perfection we strive for. "YMMV" (whatever the heck THAT means) (What DOES that stand for anyway LOL)

Either way ... I appreciate the opportunity you granted me to express MY opinion

'kay....
Maybe a chill pill would be appropriate at this stage?

I have absolutely NOTHING again mr Kuntz or his work.
I just tried to access his webpage and have a look at his products but or the link wasn't working or his website is under construction or whatever.
All I could see was all he is currently willing to display.

There was no slandering intention, and I did not state anywhere that I had ever tested his instruments or whatever.
And please keep your judgemente on my Ethics and Integrity to yourself - my statements never ever went so far as to be worthy to be judged from this perspective....!!!!

I did however state that YMMV: Your Mileage May Vary.
And this is fundamentally correct.
To each player his / her guitar. We may not agree (we often don't, actually) on what is cool and what isn't, and this is what makes (did make?) this Forum so interesting.

Your right JJ. Chill pill taken.

I suppose I am over caffienated this morning. Gotta switch to decaf.

The thing is, I have been talking extensively to Andreas (You know who) for over a month now via email. And in that time I have come to know him not only as an extremely talented Luthier, but also as one hell of a nice guy, and family man.

So, the "copped" remark irked me, and I felt the need to defend my new friend. I suppose I did over react though.

Peace

Kevin
