H&K customer support is non existent. It took me 2 weeks to track down another power supply for my MK II (got it at at some random store not H&K). There is a local music store which had done some repairs on it. I didn't bother going through the company. Do a search you'll see that others have had the same problem.

This. I had a MKI and asked about getting a replacement power supply and they told me I had to drop 75 on a new one. For a 650 dollar pedal! I had a guy locally fix it. A buddy of mine has 2 triamps, he's having trouble with channel 2 on them and H&K will not respond to him. The moral of this story: DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM HUGHES&KETTNER. They price it high and don't stand behind it.

I got the power supply fixed and sold it. I don't want to give them any space on my board that might promote them in any way. I informed them that my story would be shared and would cost them sales and they acted like they didn't care. I can honestly say, their unwillingness to repair or replace a power supply (which wouldn't have cost them much of anything) has cost them more sales than I can count on their fingers. Nobody wants to drop over 3 grand on an amp that if they have trouble the builder will hang them out to dry.

Yep. I agree. The rotosphere sounded awesome, but H&K is a nightmare if you ever have any trouble. I will not own anything made by them for that reason.

Hmmm.

I have had the total opposite experience, literally 180 degrees.

I actually got a number of free, in warrantee repairs on more then one unit.

I also received a loner unit while mine was being worked on.

This was a while back but pre and post Pearl ownership.
