Has anyone used Mighty Mite bodies or necks?

If so, what's your opinion? I'm considering building a parts tele, and the Mighty Mite wooden bits are certainly attractively priced...

I've got 2 Benford strats which have MM bodies and necks (ebony fretboards) and they're great.

I've used MM strat necks and bodies to build customer parts strats. The bodies have all been very good 2 piece figured ash. The necks, like many brands, were fine once all the frets received the usual leveling, filing, crowning, and polishing.

How bad were the frets? That is one area I'm hoping to avoid...do Warmoth necks come with better frets?

I haven't had much if any trouble with MM frets - I find them better than alot of other, more expensive, makers necks...

I bought n MM neck last year- decent quality, the frets are a little soft feeling, but definately worth the money. No complaints except I did replace their nut & put a tusq nut on because the nut on mine was pretty shotty. All in all I think the necks are worth the money

Dito,

I have a MM birdeye maple tele neck that is excellent - the only bad point was the awful styrofoam nut - replaced with a tusk and now perfect!

I've got a great strat that I built up from a MM Ebony strat neck and MM ash body with a maple top. The only thing I did on the neck is replace the nut. It's my #1.

Yeah they're not bad for the money at all.
The finished bodies have a pretty thick poly finish but not as thick as some others I've seen and the one finished body I bought is on the heavy side so I would guess Northern Ash.

The necks are also not bad but you can get a lemon once in a while.
I bought a birdseye maple w/ rosewood board that had a slight hump in the fingerboard after the 12th fret.
I haven't fixed it yet as it will entail pulling the upper frets and sanding the fretboard.

They have a thin semi gloss finish on them that feels alright.
You can sand off the poly relatively easily if you want to tint the wood and use a gun oil finish or nitro lacquer.

The best bang for the buck necks are from Allparts.
I have used several of their necks and have always been pleased with them.
If you can find a dealer you can get them at about 25-30% off retail.
Many guys are dealers that hang out on guitar forums.

I like MM necks. Used them on a couple builds and they're great for the money. Not too much in the way of options for back profile, but if you like the shapes they offer they're just fine.

I really like the compound radius neck and the soft-V neck.
