DIY SHO Kit?
Is there a DIY clone kit currently available for the Super Hard On? I know there are schematics available everywhere and it seems like a really simple circuit that I could probably figure out how to do on my own but I thought I'd check here first. Thanks!

Madbean. I'd say don't do it. The building addiction is far worse than the pedal addiction. Not tO mention the superiority complex that comes after 20 or so builds.

guitarpcb.com stage 3 booster. Best booster I've had and they now offer it in a kit.

To be truthful Madbean is just the circuit board. You will need to source everything else from other places like small bear or pedal parts plus.
The building addiction is worse but slightly cheaper and you get to play with all kinds of pedals that are prohibitively expensive, out-of-production or rare.

The problem with DIY it that is leaves you wondering how close you are to the real thing. So then you buy the real thing and then wonder what to do with what you built. If you just buy the real thing to start with you will be happier, spend less time building & wondering and more time playing what you wanted in the first place. Unless your gonna leave what you build in a plain old shiney box you'll want water slide decals, paint, lacquer, custom knobs, then end up buying paint shop pro to get some real nice graphics for the decals and it goes on and on. Compare that cost and time to just getting the SHO and playing guitar.
Now on the other hand, if your planning on doing alot of builds, realy like the smell of flux and solder, and enjoy spending hours on assembly and finish then it is a great hobby and alot of fun. Both options have pros and cons so it is best to evaluate them each time. |

Doesn't the BYOC Tri-Boost have an SHO in it as one of the settings?
