Rumpelstiltskin Pickups

Today I ordered a 1950 Black Rope Tele bridge pickup (11k +) from Rumpelstiltskn Pickups. I loved the sound clip on the website, and Aaron was a pleasure to deal with in setting up the order. He said that it should be shipping next week. I'm stoked!

Anybody have any Rumpelstiltskin pickups in their Tele or Strat? If so, opinions?

I have a set of his pickups in my G&L Asat Classic. They are wonderful. Hope you enjoy yours as much as I have mine.

I had him custom wind me a set and later I bought a Blackrope bridge. All of his pickups are killer and I still have the neck pickup in my #1, my Danocaster.

I'm always postin' about these pickups here on TGP and no one really seems to respond. While I certainly haven't tried every pup on the market I bet I've tried most of them, at least all the usual go to big boy winders with the exception of Ron Ellis. I think Aaron's pups are the best I've ever used. I have 2 Black Rope sets and these are the best Tele pups I've ever heard. I also have 3 sets of his Strat pups and again, the best I've heard. I've got a set of his '54's, a set of his Gypsy's as well as a pre CBS set. All sound different and all sound great. I like the fact that you can get the magnet stagger you want as well as any option you want basically. I always get the vintage stagger but with the low G on my Strat sets, aged and bevelled. His pups are inexpensive and his turnaround time fast. He uses all the correct wire and magnets for the yrs the pickups are representing. If you can describe it he can wind it. He's easily one of the best guys I've ever dealt with. Highly recommended!

I've got a custom Black Rope in the bridge of my Tele, got it on the Emporium and was pleasantly surprised! It's not going anywhere, despite the 7,2K output it does match the TV Jones Supertron in the neck position nicely.
