Any maple neck Les Pauls in the house?

Let's see em!!! I personally don't own one but am a fan of maple necks. I've only seen one and that was a Wylde guitar a few years ago with th EVH like paint job.

I saw one in a shop some time ago. That was one odd looking Les Paul. I did not even try it, which was stupid of me, I guess.

Wow! Nice! 1976. I didn't see what they were asking for it.

I have an agile AL2800 maple neck with a rosewood board... Does that count?

They're asking $3200 but one person flagged the ad saying it was a fake...
Any opinions from LP experts? What say you? Fake or Legit?

Looks real to me. I think the pickup rings and bridge are aftermarket.

I have yet to see a counterfeiter take the the time to reproduce the metal plate/cover assembly in the control cavity of a Norlin-era LP!

So what would you say about the asking price then?

Seems a bit high...how rare are the maple board LPs from that era?

How does maple and mahogany together get along? Or is the entire guitar maple? Not sure if certain woods don't get along with others? I would love to have a maple neck LP! Seeing the few that are pictured here make me want one even more.

I'm not an expert... But have been reading up on this. It seems that the maple top helps brighten the tone of the mohogany. I would guess, that with a solid mohogany bode, carved or not, a maple neck provides a similar tonal effect.
