Arrested for Singing

Did you see where the guy was singing "everybody was kung fu fighting" at a gig and got arrested for racism when an oriental guy walked by the bar and filed a complaint with police? First of all the song's a compliment, they fought with expert timing after all. And kung fu is done by everyone these days not just sholin priests, what a tool.

Are you sure this wasn't in the Onion or something? Unbelievable. Now if he was playing "Everyone Wang Chung Tonight" ....that is truly offensive (musically)

You can't get arrested for Racisim in the U.S. unfortunately, unless the victim was threatened physically. Otherwise.....all the supremist group members would be behind bars. But in the U.K.......don't sing that song....because you will get arrested. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/debate/ar...=feeds-newsxml

Being reported by BBC, so not phony, but I'm betting on publicity stunt. Both parties are likely best friends.

Hell, here in the US, you can be branded a racist for using the term "oriental", as you did, instead of the current PC term "asian". Never mind that *many* of the asians I know refer to themselves and other asians as "orientals".....

"The chinaman is not the issue here, Dude. I'm talking about drawing a line in the sand, Dude. Across this line, you DO NOT... Also, Dude, chinaman is not the preferred nomenclature. Asian-American, please."

Someone will object to any term to describe their; race, gender, ethnicity, religion or planet of origin. There are just way too many people looking to be a victim.

Is the U.S. is the only remaining country that still respects free speech?

Funny you should say that. Galveston Texas has brought out and is revising an old noise ordnance that will probably shut down live music in the city limits. The Strand Entertainment district (kinda like a cleaned Bourbon Street) will probably be the most effected so it's not as funny as you think.
A car driving by can shut you down. Forget party's in your yard or anything loud enough to be herd.
