just ordered a peppermint fuzz...any ideas

i just ordered me a peppermint fuzz. i have seen demos and all but was asking the gang what i can expect. i ordered it off a whim as i know analogman rocks.. i have fuzzes already but this one fills the hole i guess. any ideas on what i can expect from it??

What everyone else said You can even get a nice fuzzy overdriven tone w/ the guit's volume backed off a bit.

It might take a little bit to bond with it. So work with it a little bit. I got advice from another TGP'er on it. He recommended 3 oclock buzz, 2 oclock volume and 1 oclock fuzz. I have mine at 3, 3, and 1 and we're bonding quite well.

I agree. My favorite setting is every knob at 1:30-2 o'clock. Great crunchy tones on lower volumes, screamin fuzz when turned up, and cleanish tones when picking lightly. Definitely give the pep some time and attention, especially through a tube amp on the verge of breaking up. Tons of killer tones available!
