Am I missing something? The video is of the Celestial Virgo (not that I know what that is).

I'm seeing a video of the Pharaoh~

This to my experience has been a great fuzz tool. It can be used as a fuzz or a growly boost. Plenty of tone tweak-ability, and the coolest part in the experience has been it's expressiveness with your pick attack, volume, and tone knob of all things.

It sounds new with every different amp I use, but not so much with different guitars. Meaning I can tell it's a pharaoh no matter the guitar, but it changes its face when you plug into a different rig.

Okay, he fixed the demo now, nevermind.

Great fuzz, I can't say enough about it. I have a couple of threads on it that have been bumped a million times and are full of great info so you might want to search them. Here's a little "meh" demo I did:

Awesome fuzz, super versatile, natural, and HUGE sounding! It's excellent at both low and high gain settings and with SC or HB pickups. Can't speak highly enough about the pedal and Mark at Black Arts Toneworks, both just top notch in every way.

There are several recent threads packed with info, reviews, and demos that showcase much more than GMD's.

It's a really huge sounding fuzz. Super versatile with the Ge option ( only $10 extra). Guess im repeating other posters comments.

The only other Fuzz I own is a Cornish P-2, and while it's a different beast, the Pharaoh has inspiring tones that can get better and better the more I dig in. I think the Pharaoh can be mentioned in the same sentence as Tim/Timmy, Klon, and a few other elite pedals revered on this forum.

Sounds pretty cool, flavour of the month fuzz and LOTS of discussion about it already...

I only bought it because I was curious and it's rather cheap. Even better than expected, easily replaced my Musket.

Does it sound more like a tweakable Big Muff?

It really doesnt sound much like a muff, although it uses the muff circuit as it's base. It has a fairly flat EQ, unlike a muff and is much more open and less compressed. It doesn't filter your bass and that's why it just sounds massive and kind if dwarfs everything you compare it to. It much bigger, more natural, less compressed, and less scooped than a muff. But yes, it's very tweakable. I'm sure you know about all the switches as and the Germ/Si stuff but the tone controls are very useful and interactive. You can make it flat, mid humped, slightly scooped, or tilted either way. It can actually be dialed in to sound quite close to a FF, just a little smoother and warmer. It HAS to be the most Fuzzface-soundin muff ever. It's the anti-muff. Really cool fuzz, I don't think anyone could dislike the way it sounds unless they just don't understand or like fuzz to begin with.

It's going to be my next purchase. From what I'm hearing in all the demos it just sounds like my dream fuzz. A fresh variation on a muff.

Plus it looks cool....

It does look and sound killer, but I'm just not too keen on it being much more of a Big Muff. :
